II. Internship Program

    • Alabama Heritage Communications Internship Program offers college credits to students.  These students receive training in various areas of the television station, to include live television production, sports production, linear and non-linear editing, news gathering and writing, reporting, camera operations and utility.

    • Flyers and notices are posted throughout Jacksonville State University encouraging students to work as non-paid interns at Alabama Heritage Communications. These students will prepare news scripts, edit news packages, report news stories, anchor local news, cover local sporting events including, camera work, and utility work. Volunteers have responded and through this opportunity they will be able to gain real life experiences within a television station that will enable them to excel in their chosen career. 
 

III. Scholarship Programs

    • Alabama Heritage Communications contributes to the Alabama Broadcasters Association Scholarship through its association dues.
