(10-15-07) - Glencoe’s first Annual All Star Celebration weekend was a big hit. TV 24’s Carl Brady gives a look at the action. And earlier in the day, Cletus and the General Lee from the television show “Dukes of Hazzard” were on display for people to see. Rick Hurst is the actor who played Deputy Cletus on the show. He tells TV 24 that he was very impressed by the warm welcome he received from the folks of Etowah County. The Gadsden-Etowah Chamber of Commerce worked with the city to put the celebration together. Proceeds will go toward building a new youth center in Glencoe. The action actually started Friday night with a silent auction. The numbers from that are still being tallied.
