(06-06-08) It’s first Friday in Gadsden, and that means a lot of fun activities are underway.
And you still have time to make it out for the festivities along Broad Street in the downtown area. Baker Music Store owner Gerald Baker talks about why he’s so excited about this event.There will be live music, antique cars and lots of other displays along Broad Street until 8 p.m. It’s time for week three of the Longleaf Series Music at McClellan, and organizers are expecting it to be one of the most popular concerts to date. Organizer Pete Conroy tells us more about ABBA: The Hits.The gates at McClellan’s Longleaf Park will open at 6 p.m. tomorrow night with music starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are 25 dollars for adults, five dollars for kids ages 4 to 12 and kids three and under are admitted free. Be sure and take your lawn chairs and prepare for a fun night under the stars at McClellan. There’s also something going on for those of you who enjoy Bluegrass Music.The 16th annual Foggy Hollow Bluegrass Festival is underway this weekend in Webster’s Chapel. Advance tickets are sold out, but you can still show up and pay at the gate. Foggy Hollow is located off Highway 431 between Anniston and Gadsden. Gates open at 6 o’clock tonight and 12:30 tomorrow afternoon.
