(07-26-10) Head football coaches and sports information directors of member schools in the Ohio Valley Conference have picked JSU to win the league title. The Gamecocks received 11 out of 18 1st place votes. Eastern Illinois finished with 4 1st place votes and are picked 2
nd, Eastern Kentucky predicted to finish 3
rd. JSU also had 4 players on the preseason All-OVC team: offensive linemen Cory Freeman, Taylor Chambers and Curt Porter as well as defensive back (and Alexandria native) T.J. Heath.
