Southside's Ride Continues Into Semifinals

Thursday, November 28, 2013

No matter the outcome on Friday night, this season will be one for the ages at Southside. For the first time in school history, the Panthers have 13 wins under their belt as they head into the semi-finals.

The Southside offense has been a strong suit for the club in the post-season. They put up three second-half touchdowns against a strong McAdory defense in the quarterfinals and they’ll face another tough defensive unit against Muscle Shoals in the fourth round.

For the first time this post-season Southside will hit the road. The Panthers playoff mantra is interesting- play to practice on Monday.

Southside joins local teams Saks and Munford in the semi-final round of the playoffs (Madison Academy at Saks; Oneonta at Munford).  Friday night's winners will head to Tuscaloosa for the Super Six Championships.
