Thefts Reported/Jacksonville

Thursday, November 28, 2013

Jacksonville police are investigating numerous reports of items stolen from inside vehicles.  The vehicles were parked at homes in subdivisions near the high school off James Hopkins Road. Police say the suspects drove through neighborhoods taking items from vehicles that were left unlocked.  One of the homeowners heard something outside and called police after firing two gunshots in the air to scare away the suspects. He gave a vehicle description to police.  County deputies pulled over the vehicle a short time later.  Jacksonville police responded and arrested 19-year-old Jacob Bowman of Anniston, 37-year-old Jennifer Grubbs of Jacksonville and 19-year-old Allen Shockley of Jacksonville. Each person is charged with 3 counts of Breaking and Entering a Vehicle.
