Anniston's World AIDS Day Event

As part of World AIDS Day events, the Health Services Center of Anniston pays tribute to an important peer mentor who died from complications during a medical procedure while living with AIDS. Community members joined efforts during the Karen Morris memorial AIDS walk. The remembrance capped Anniston’s World Aids Day occasion. Coordinators also included a World AIDS Day Program, entertainment, and fellowship for the attendees. The Health Services Center provides medical care for persons living with HIV. Since 1990, the medical clinic has served hundreds of people living with HIV and AIDS, as well as their families. The center also has a mobile testing van and a drop-in center on east 15th Street in Anniston. HIV testing at the Anniston Health Services Center is always free. The center is open Monday through Friday with operating hours until 500pm through Thursday. Its hours are 800am until 1200pm on Fridays.
