The Salvation Army is wrapping up its Angel Tree Program for local kids this week. This was the last day to adopt an angel from the tree at Quintard Mall and it was also the day you were supposed to return the items you purchased to the mall or the Salvation Army in Anniston. Captain Bert Lind tells us this has been a difficult year with more than 100 Angels still remaining. He says while it’s too late to adopt and Angel, you can still help them by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at their headquarters on Noble Street. Captain Lind also explains what will happen if the remaining wish lists aren’t filled by members of the community. The most needed gifts are for girls ages 9 and 10 and boys 6 to 8 years old. Remember, you can take any new, unwrapped toy to the Salvation Army located on Noble Street in Anniston.
