Etowah County's Gadsden Water Festival

 What can you do to protect one of our most precious natural resources?  Etowah County 4th grade students and their families learn to respect the natural resource of water.  The 2013 Etowah County Groundwater Festival teaches environmental awareness and stewardship.  It is the festival’s 13th year for its education workshop for students and their teachers. Etowah county students and their teachers gathered at Gadsden State Community College for the Water Festival. The Water Festival’s fun and innovative gathering of over 1,400 students was full of hands-on activities and classroom sessions.  The Water Festival teaches the 4th grade students to learn to love water. The students also learn about other related natural resources such as: surface water, wetlands, forestry, and wildlife.
