The military cemetery at McClellan is one of many sites across the country participating in “Wreaths Across America.” Local Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H Club members volunteered to help with the formal ceremony at the cemetery Saturday morning. They helped place nearly 400 wreaths on graves for those who’ve served and gone before us. One volunteer from Boy Scout Troop 4009 in Anniston talks about what this means to him. Among those attending are those who’ve recently served our country. They say seeing the community come together like this is a moving experience. McClellan is one of more than 800 military burial sites taking part in Wreaths Across America. The movement started in the early 1990’s and continues to grow each year.
