Courthouse Records Upgraded in Calhoun County

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

The Calhoun county courthouse is upgrading to an easier, faster, and safer way to file and access court records.   The courthouse is transitioning to an E filing system. Since October, courthouse clerical workers have converted paper files to electronic files to save space.   The courthouse clerical team has nearly converted more than 1,200 files. The goal is to safely and securely downsize and become more efficient. They started with records dated more than 10 years ago and believe that it will take years to accomplish the task. The courthouse is converting files from small claims, circuit criminal, and circuit civil cases.
