Hokes Bluff Middle School Classes Resume

Hokes Bluff Middle School students are back in their classrooms this week.

School leaders say environmental testing shows there’s no risk inside the gymnasium or the school building. Students and faculty were evacuated on December 12 after 27 students and a teacher started having problems breathing after a P.E. class. Hokes Bluff Elementary and First Baptist Church of Hokes Bluff hosted the students from the middle school for the last week before the holiday break. Superintendent Alan Cosby says a host of agency’s including Alagasco and Hazmat have inspected the school and found it safe to return.
