Warning Against Sharing Information

Experts say there’s an important lesson consumers can learn from the Target security breach. Don’t be afraid to say “no” when a store clerk asks you for your email, address, or even phone number.  They are adding that information to a consumer database collection.  It’s used by retailers for marketing and research.  However, of that database is compromised, then so is your identity. Security experts say some retailers are too relaxed with personal information and that regulations are just too outdated.
