Stakeholders and community members were given intense instruction on watershed management. Participants learned how to apply water quality and watershed management principles to understand and solve complex water resource problems. The Watershed Academy is used to generate a conversation about the future of streams and the role they play. The course is developed to help motivate citizens to protect and restore the watershed. For more information contact the Alabama Cooperative Extension System at www.aces.edu and enter water quality or call the Choccolocco Treatment Watershed Alliance.
