Calhoun County RSVP

The Calhoun County Retired Senior Volunteer Program better known as RSVP will provide free tax assistance to the community. The program has given service back to the region since 1983. Although, RSVP free tax preparation gives priority service to elderly and low-income taxpayers, RSVP will do anybody’s tax return. The Anniston site will open tomorrow from 12:00pm – 8:00pm. Impact Alabama is a non-profit out of Birmingham that RSVP has partnered with to provide services. The program will operate 6 days a week through March 8th. They do not do businesses. Their volunteers are certified by the Internal Revenue Service. RSVP will operate out of the United Way Building January 22nd – March 8th on Wednesday through Thursdays from 12:00pm-8:00pm and on Saturdays from 9:00am-3:00pm. The Weaver location will start on January 29th from the Weaver City Hall and will provide tax preparation on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am-3:00pm. RSVP Jacksonville will be at the Jacksonville Train Depot beginning January 24th from 12:00pm – 6:00pm. You’ll need to call 1-888-998-2925 for an appointment. And Oxford’s location will be at the Oxford Library basement beginning February 4th on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00am-3:00pm.
