Alabama prepares with the rest of the nation to hear President Obama’s State of the Union Address. On Tuesday, January 28th at 8:00 p.m. central standard time, President Obama will deliver the annual speech. Earlier this month Governor Bentley gave the Alabama State of the Union address. Bentley shared that Alabama’s unemployment rate has dropped to a five year low. However, Alabama is still one of the poorest states in America. Alabama is one of the most conservative and one of the most frugal states in the nation. And, in his address, Bentley encouraged Alabamians to question federal government. Immediately following the President’s State of the Union address, concerned citizens will have the chance to ask questions of a panel of senior White House advisors at WhiteHouse.gov.
