Boaz Man Arrested

An Etowah County home invasion ends in an arrest of a Boaz man. Charles Jacobs of Boaz was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of first degree burglary, two counts of third degree assault and one count of resisting arrest. Jacobs allegedly forced his way into a residence, in the Smith Institute community, and demanded the 19 year-old homeowner leave. When the homeowner refused to leave Jacobs assaulted the victim. Jacobs also punched a 13 year-old, who was also inside the home, when they tried to leave the residence in an attempt to call 9-1-1 from a neighbor’s home. Bond is set at $25,000 cash for burglary and $2,500 property for the other charges.
