Saks Star QB Tre Smith Signs with Central Arkansas
Gathered around his friends and family, star quarterback Tre Smith officially signed his National Letter of Intent with Central Arkansas. Tre had an unbelievable senior season racking up over 2,500 yards and 39 touchdowns. The Bears are getting a good one and Tre says he’s ready for the next level.
With the benefit of hindsight, it’s easy to say Coach Jonathan Miller made one of the best decisions in school history moving the talented receiver to quarterback. The move paid off as Smith guided the Wildcats to a school record 13 wins and a berth in the state semifinals.
Smith isn’t the only local player headed to Central Arkansas. He’ll be joined by Jacksonville running back Dominique Thomas who signed with the Bears on Wednesday.
