Honda Plant Adds Jobs

It is good to be able to witness pockets of economic prosperity during dismal economic times and the East Alabama community is enjoying some economic growth with the addition of new jobs to our area. The Honda plant in Lincoln has announced that they are adding fifty production jobs and investing seventy-one point eight- million dollars in a new project.

This new venture for the car manufacturing giant is part of a string of new projects for their Alabama operation. The Talladega County Commission is cooperating with the project by supporting it with three point four-million dollars in tax reductions for the company. The project is related to the production of drivetrain components. Work connected to the project is set to be completed next year.
