Saturday, February 15, 2014

One local agency displays the true meaning of Valentine’s Day by delivering special homemade treats to their local heroes. The United Cerebral Palsy Center participants and staff show their appreciation for the bravery the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office showed during the winter storms. The center participants and staff baked homemade cupcakes and delivered them to the Sheriff’s Office today. Sheriff’s Office officials and deputies say they were happy to help meet the needs of the stranded UCP center clients and they appreciate the honor U-C-P is showing them today. Not only did the Sheriff’s Office help to get children and adults from the center back home to safety, they also delivered doctors and nurses to medical facilities and picked up stranded children from local schools.
