Businesses in Calhoun County can prepare for severe weather or for disasters and emergencies by participating in the Emergency Preparedness Ready Business Campaign. The campaign coincides with the statewide Severe Weather Preparedness Week that is currently underway. The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce and the local E-M-A have joined forces with other agencies to guide local business leaders to a better understanding of how to handle traumatic events. Business leaders will also learn more about hazardous accidents, acts of violence, and software malfunctions. The Chamber will host the workshop series. The training will take place from 9:00am until 11:00am...one Wednesday per month... for the next 4 months.
