Thursday, February 20, 2014

The East Central Alabama Boys and Girls Club and the City of Anniston Parks and Recreation Department come together to offer the community an opportunity to learn more about African-American history. Their Black History Program will take place Saturday, February 22nd at the South Highland Community Center at noon. Attendees will be able to walk through history by exploring historical events, exhibits, and illustrations that have shaped the African-American culture. Program organizers say this event will lead to more activities in the community with our young people. They also add, that this is just one step toward expanding services offered by the two organizations.
