A United States Senator visits our region and speaks at the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce Leader Series. Senator Jeff Sessions spoke at the breakfast at Classic On Noble. He discussed bi-partisan cooperation, welfare and budgetary reform, and unemployment. He’s positive about the status of Calhoun County’s local economy. He talked with TV24 about the Anniston Army Depot’s future. Senator Del Marsh was also in attendance at today’s event. He’s confident about Alabama’s employment numbers and is sure our state government is making the best choices for its citizens. One of the major themes covered in Senator Sessions speech was the growth of local industries that make a positive change for area communities. Jacksonville Mayor Johnny Smith took some time to tell us about the expansion of his city when he discussed the groundbreaking for Shelco Foundries in Jacksonville. The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce Leader Series is designed to prepare and build upon leadership resources within our entire county.
