Brothers Drown While Fishing in Ohatchee

Two Jacksonville brothers drown in the Coosa River. The men and a cousin were fishing at night with nets in the Coosa River near Robins Mill Road in Ohatchee. According to the Calhoun County Coroner, Pat Brown, Xao Le, and his brother Cong Le, both died when the boat they were fishing in early Sunday morning overturned. Xao’s body was recovered at 1:15am close to the boat. He had become caught in the nets that were attached to the boat and drowned. Cong’s body was found at 7:00am near where the boat overturned. Brown said the cousin, who had stayed behind on the bank, left for help, but when he returned, both brothers had disappeared.
