Lincoln Sunday Alcohol Sales

The city of Lincoln sees a Sunday alcohol sales bill advance in the Senate. According to Mayor Bud Kitchin, this is the second time in his administration that the council has passed the resolution. Kitchin says the referendum has the support of local legislators. And, its impact will be economic development. Lincoln is a city with no national or regional casual dining restaurants. And, he believes the move to allow alcohol sales will generate revenue that may attract more commercial businesses into the area. Also, Mayor Kitchin says the issue is not religious but about exponentially growing the area and employing its citizens. Lincoln has a city population of approximately 63-hundred people.
