Inmate Video Visitation Proposal in Calhoun County

The Calhoun County jail wants to get better communication technology into the hands of its inmates. So, Sheriff Larry Amerson is proposing video visitation to the Calhoun County Bar Association. The proposal will modify the way inmates and attorneys visit with each other. It will reduce jail staff costs and security issues. According to Sheriff’s officials it will also make inmate visitation more convenient for the attorneys. The internet video visitations will cost less than the average inmate phone call. The cost will be $12.50 for 20 minutes.
