Charges have been dropped against the owner of a Gadsden ambulance company owner who was accused of writing bad payroll checks to his employees. Etowah County District Attorney Jimmie Harp announced today that he dropped the bad check charges after Gadsden-Etowah EMS owner Roger Dale Stanmore came to his office today and made full payment for the checks and additional charges related to the checks. Gadsden-Etowah EMS filed for bankruptcy protection last week after employees walked off the job on February 21st claiming that they had not been paid in weeks. The company has also surrendered its medical transport license to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
