Gadsden Hosts PARD State Hoops Tourney

If you’re wanting to find the future stars of the basketball court, you’ll find them in Gadsden this weekend. The city is set to host the Parks and Recreation state tournament which features over 100 of Alabama’s best teams. The Gadsden Parks and Recreation Board won the bid for the tournament once again this year. The city has won the bid five times in the last seven years and this will be the biggest one yet as 107 teams from across the state play for championships. There are eight different divisions including boys and girls from ages eight to 18. With 107 teams in play this season, it is a huge economic boost for the City of Gadsden- we'll have more on that aspect on Friday night's Primetime News.
