Jacksonville City School Board One Step Closer to New Elementary School

The Jacksonville city school board takes one step closer to the building a new campus for Kitty Stone Elementary School. The board finalized the contract with the project’s architects. The school board is forming a committee made up of people from the city government, from Jacksonville State University, a selection of board members, and some citizens to help develop a plan for the re-use of the current school property once it is vacated and the new school is built. The firm that will design the new school is McKee and Associates Architecture and Interior Design out of Montgomery.
