GlaxoSmithKline Announces Drug Recall
According to a Reuters report, GlaxoSmithKline announces that 20 bottles of its popular weight-loss over-the-counter drug Alli have been tampered with. The affected bottles have been found in mostly southern states, including Alabama. The Food and Drug Administration is investigating the report that the bottles have contained products other than the weight-loss drug. The company said the tampered with bottles from five lots of the drug could contain tablets and capsules of different shapes and colors. The actual drug is turquoise-colored and the bottles could be unlabeled and the lot numbers might not match the numbers on the carton.
