Carly’s Law Get Signature of Governor
Senate Bill 174 also known as Carly’s law finally gets the official support of the governor. Legislation that will allow a study at the University of Alabama to examine the effectiveness of marijuana oil to treat seizure disorders such as epilepsy has been signed by Governor Robert Bentley. Carly’s Law was named in honor of 3-year-old Carly Chandler of Birmingham, who suffers from a severe neurological disorder. It becomes effective on June 1, 2014.
