Former Gadsden City High School and Alabama star Dre Kirkpatrick is back in East Alabama for a great cause. Kirkpatrick hosted a golf event this afternoon in Gadsden to raise money for his 21 Kids Foundation. The current Cincinnati Bengal invited some of his fellow NFL players and Tide teammates to the event. 21 Kids Foundation helps the youth in and around the Gadsden area with summer camps and mentoring projects. Among todays guests were former Alabama players as well as Heisman Trophy winner and Texas Quarterback Vince Young who says he is pleased to see Dre giving back. Kirkpatrick also keeps close ties with his former Tide teammates. Guys like Jerrell Harris, Mark Barron, Wallace Gilberry, Marcell Dareus and Damion Square were all on hand today to support the cause.
