JSU Football Preps for J-Day Game

Friday, April 4, 2014

Continuity is the name of the game at Jacksonville State. The Gamecocks are in their second to last week of spring training as they look to build on last year’s 13-win season. The offense has nine returning starters and there is a lot of talent on defense including Alabama transfer LaMichael Fanning. This is the first spring with new head coach John Grass at the helm, and players say his presence last season as offensive coordinator has a big impact as they aim for another successful year. The Gamecocks will scrimmage this Saturday, then hold two practices next week before the annual J-Day Game next Saturday at Burgess Snow Field.
