Fishing Tourney Offers Economic Boost for Gadsden

A grand prize of $10,000 is going to the winner of this year’s Alabama Bass Trail Tournament Series, but the real money winner just might be the City of Gadsden. Neely Henry Lake will serve as the host for this Saturday’s big tournament. The top 400 amateur anglers will hit the water looking for some big catches. The extra people in and around Gadsden also brings extra cash and a big economic boom for the city. The legendary Fish Fishburne will serve as master of ceremonies for tomorrow’s tournament. Takeoff is set to begin at 6:30am and weigh-Ins are scheduled for 3:00PM at Coosa Landing in Gadsden. Both events are open to the public and free of charge.
