National Crime Victims' Rights Week in Alabama

Governor Robert Bentley proclaims April 6th through April 12th asNational Crime Victims' Rights Week in Alabama. And State Attorney General Luther Strange chooses to visit Anniston to bring awareness to the cause. The Attorney General used his visit to bring attention to the importance of local victim's advocacy programs. The week is part of recognition of 30 years of the Victims of Crime Act.This legislation supported by The National Center for Victims of Crime, the United States Department of Justice, the Office of Justice Programs and the Office for Victims of Crime acknowledges the extraordinary progress that has been made on behalf of millions of victims.
