Capital Murder Case Gets Turned Over to Grand Jury
A capital murder case involving four Gadsden residents will be turned over to a grand jury next month. That’s according to Albertville Police Department detective Tammie Nash. Shontavious Williams, JaMichael Kinchen, Derunteze Parker, and Maya Morris- are all charged with the capital murder of Willie Coleman of Tuskegee on January 9th . Coleman was killed by a shotgun. Authorities have said that the shooting was the result of a drug-related robbery put together by Kinchen’s girlfriend, Morris. Coleman had been house-sitting for the owner of a home on Valley View Drive in Albertville at the time of the shooting. Officials say they believe there was only one shooter, but they do not know who it was. Detective Nash Kinchen, Parker, and Williams are each being held on $1 million bond in the Marshall County Detention Center. Morris is being held on $500,000 bond.
