Chemical Endangerment Arrest

A pregnant woman fails a drug test and gets arrested after she tests positive for amphetamines and methamphetamines. According to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, Amanda Johnson, of Southside, is charged with chemical endangerment of a child. Johnson has one count of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed. The charge is a felony and she is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $50,000 cash bond.
