Water Investigation

A contamination scare temporarily leaves six households without water in Heflin. According to Don Dewberry, Works Manager at the Heflin Water and Sewer board, they were alerted to the situation after the county commission released reports of a product on top of the ground and going into a local creek. The Alabama Department of Environmental Management was called in and they tested the area and eventually a water line was put on top of the ground. Officials say, the investigation is ongoing and the water customers have now been taken care of.
