Arrested and Charged with Chemical Endangerment

According to a press release from the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, Miranda Wheeler or Boaz was arrested and charged with one count of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced, or distributed. Wheeler tested positive for amphetamine, benzodiazepines and methadone. The baby, who was born in late March, also tested positive for the same drugs. Wheeler has a $25,000 surety bond and is detained in the Etowah County Detention Center.
