One local community wants to help its members celebrate the end of a well spent work week by bringing to them an event that will supply fun and fellowship on a Friday night. The Spirit of Anniston will present 4th Fridays, a night jam packed with food, arts, music and fun for everyone in Historic Downtown Anniston beginning this Friday, April 25th from 5:00PM to 8:00PM between the 10th through 12th Streets of Noble. Event organizers say it’s a night where you can safely enjoy the beauty of Anniston’s historic downtown district and learn more about some of our local merchants. The fun that will take to the streets include live bands and instrumental ensembles, belly-dancing demonstrations, merchant and restaurant specials available only for that night, a bounce house, face painting, and a visual arts tent for the kids, a car show and much more. And, in honor of Earth Day, they will be giving away tomato plants to the first 100 attendees. Coordinators say 4th Fridays will take place in downtown Anniston the 4th Friday of every month, April through September and hopefully it will eventually encompass all of Noble Street.
