One local city is taking pride in itself by holding a city-wide cleanup day. Take Pride in Jacksonville will be on Saturday, April 26th beginning at 8:30AM at the Jacksonville City Hall parking lot. The site will serve as the starting point for the cleanup day and the main location to collect trash and unwanted house items. They will collect old computers, laptops, plastics, electronics, cardboard, and anything you have around your house that you don’t want, except televisions. Also on that day, the Jacksonville Cub Scouts from the First United Methodist Church will be collecting aluminum cans as a fundraiser. The Jacksonville-Piedmont Landfill will be free all day tomorrow starting at 7:30AM. And, event organizers will be assigning participants to areas in Jacksonville for cleanup duties.
