Tuesday, April 29, 2014

The Alabama Emergency Management Agency is urging all Alabama residents to be aware of the potential for severe weather throughout the night. The state agency says it is monitoring weather conditions and is prepared to coordinate appropriate responses until the threat is diminished. Etowah County E-M-A director, Mike Bryant says that one of the best ways to stay safe is to have a NOAA weather radio. The Alabama EMA says that all applicable State agencies are on alert in case full activation is needed and that it is important for you to be prepared and to minimize travel during any severe weather situation. If travel is necessary, keep an emergency supply kit in your vehicle. For the latest weather conditions you can visit WWW.WEATHER.GOV and click the area where you live.
