A U.S. automaker issues another recall. More than 50,000 S-U-V’s have been recalled because of possible false readings on fuel gauges. G-M officials say the problem is with software and could lead to a faulty reading on both ends of the range by as much as a quarter of a tank. Drivers could run out of fuel without any warning and that inaccuracy could put the vehicle at risk of stalling. This recall involves 2014 models of the Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and G-M-C Acadia. G-M says dealers will reprogram the software for free.
