Those affected by the tornado outbreak in Etowah County may soon be getting some much needed disaster relief aid. Governor Robert Bentley requested federal disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for an additional five Alabama counties today. Those additional counties are: Etowah, Blount, DeKalb, Mobile and Tuscaloosa. The governor’s office says that even more counties may be included in the disaster declaration once continuing damage assessments are completed. Congressman Robert Aderholt toured the damage in Etowah County earlier this afternoon and the governor is expected to make a visit before the end of the week.
