Suspects Rob, Beat, Kidnap, and Burglarize Man

Gadsden police are looking for the people who they say kidnapped, robbed and beat a man over the weekend. According to Sergeant Chumley with the Gadsden Police Department, the victim was leaving Sunset Golf at11:00 p.m. Saturday and had just placed his sawed-off shotgun into the trunk of his car when two men jumped out of the woods and severely beat him. Police say the men then tied the victim’s wrists together with shoe laces and put him into his trunk. The victim’s car was then driven to Truman Street where he was taken to a wooded area and beaten again and left behind by his attackers. Police also say the men took an undisclosed amount of money from the victim. Hours later, the injured man walked to a house on Harrison Avenue for help. According to investigators, the victim suffered multiple injuries to the face, head and upper body and was taken to Riverview Regional Medical Center. The incident is still under investigation.
