Governor Bentley Tours Storm Damage in Etowah County
Governor Robert Bentley makes a visit to Etowah County to assess the damage from last month’s tornados. Governor Bentley’s plane was grounded last Friday due to weather concerns and Lt. Governor Kay Ivey visited with storm survivors in the FEMA aid center. Today, the Governor surveyed damaged homes and commended the efforts of clean-up within the community. Last week Governor Bentley announced that severely affected counties in Alabama were approved for federal disaster assistance in response to severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding that moved through Alabama on April 28th and 29th.
