Spring Jam Previews: White Plains & Pleasant Valley

We are just two days away from the start of a monster three-day set of football. TV24 SPORTS continues its look into the teams playing in the Pigskin Roundup Spring Jam with White Plains. The Wildcats are led by new head coach Larry Strain who comes to Calhoun County after a very successful run at Woodland. Strain says considering all the changes the players are adapting to, the first few days of practice have been good.

The Wildcats will face Ohatchee and Pleasant Valley in the Spring Jam on Thursday which will give them a good test of where they stand heading into the summer. Meanwhile the Pleasant Valley Raiders are looking to bounce back after a 3-7 season last year- and they will do it with a lot of new faces. There are only 19 juniors and seniors combined on the team and many new players to the sport entirely. The Raiders return Drew Lewiski who rushed for more than 1,500 yards last season and and will start at quarterback this year' and Kyle Bean who rushed for over 500 yards.
