Anniston Army Depot Induction Ceremony

The Anniston Army Depot holds an induction ceremony for a family of vehicles, today. The installation marked the program start for the M109A7 self –propelled howitzer and its companion ammunition carrier, the M992A3. Colonel Brent Bolander, Commander of the Anniston Army Depot, says the equipment provides more predictability and more survivor ability to the weapons system. Production of the M109A7 family of vehicles is a joint effort between Anniston Army Depot and BAE Systems. And employees from both organizations think that this is the right time for this type of systems upgrade According to officials, the new vehicles will provide industrial and technological support to equip and sustain joint warfighters and allies.
