According the Calhoun County District Attorney Brian McVeigh, the two defendants in the kidnapping and capital murder case in the 1997 death of Floyd Hurst have been released on bond.  Kenneth Kemp and Jack Stovall, both of Anniston, were charged in March with kidnapping and capital murder in the 1997 death of Oxford resident Floyd Roger Hurst. They were released recently on May 16th, the day after Judge Brian Howell filed an order setting the bonds — $250,000 for Kemp and $1 million for Stovall.
