Entrekin Wins Another Term

Thursday, June 5, 2014

With no Democrat running for the sheriff’s office in that county, the Republican primary was also the deciding vote in that race.  Entrekin was elected to his second full term in office with an overwhelming 72.5 percent of the 9,675 Republican votes cast in the county.  Sheriff Entrekin has worked for the sheriff’s office in Etowah County since 1982.  He was appointed to the office of sheriff in 2007 after the death of Sheriff James Hayes and was elected to his first full term in 2010.
